Rap artist Half Deezy has been in the game long enough to know that in today’s world there’s really nothing in life that’s easy all the time; therefore, his stage name Half Deezy, and the journey, well, what a long, strange trip it’s been.
Serving in the Army for almost ten years Deezy hung up his uniform to pursue his love for music full time. The rapper, who cites fast spitting influences like Bone Thugs N Harmony, Twista, and Tech N9ne. Has evolved into a unique and original sound. His flow is solid with a commanding voice, but, his hooks are catchy with a harmonic sound over self-produced melodic beats. Half Deezys sound is one of a kind.
Deezy started performing in mid 2000s, shortly after returning to the US after serving in Iraq while stationed in Vicenza, Italy. During his time in Italy he wrote and recorded a video to “Real Vs Bitch” a diss to Soulja Boy going viral receiving over 350,000 streams on YouTube for the song, and over 165,000 views for the official music video. Half Deezy has since released singles titled “Its On” feat Bizzy Bone (2011), “Tonight” (2014), and “They Hate U.S.” (2018) with a music video receiving more 11,000 views in just over a year with no promotion.
Half Deezy is an artist who has been fortunate enough to have worked with Hip-Hop legends like Spice 1, Bizzy bone of Bone Thugs N Harmony, Daz & Kurupt of DPG (Dogg Pound Gangstaz), Layzie Bone, Stat Quo, and more. Half Deezy was blessed enough to open for the legendary group Bone Thugs N Harmony on their 20th Anniversary tour 2013 and open for G-Eazy as an independent artist at SunFest 2016 in West Palm Beach Florida, one of the biggest music festivals on the water front.
